"I never imagined using tractor tires, industrial strength rubber bands, sandbags, or kettlebells incorporated with plyometrics would have increased my overall fitness and energy. Despite my initial skepticism (and sore muscles!), I would not trade these workouts for any other.
I underestimated the intensity of the Real World Strength Coach program. I work out at a gym 4-5 days a week, paddle with a Dragon Boat team, and train for sprint distance triathlons. I thought no sweat, but I was dead wrong. After session 1 and 2, my muscles were a mess! I was sore and felt defeated. I thought my body was “in shape”. By session 3, my muscles were yelling at me “Don’t do it!” I’m not the type to give up or let Dave down, so I continued to attend the workouts. I could not have made a smarter choice. In the two months I spent training with Dave, my body was pushed to the limits more than I can count. With Dave’s motivation and my competitive nature, I began to see results. My times in certain workouts were decreasing, muscle definition became visible in my arms and entire back, and I was able to endure 20-25 minute sessions…without a break!
The true test was applying these boot camp sessions to my training outside of this program. It was most noticeable after my first week of Dragon Boat practice. I was not fatigued during or after practice, and I have more power in pulling back the water in moving the boat forward. At the gym, in using weight machines, I am able to add 10-15lbs extra, and in free weights 5 to 10lbs more than normal.
Dave’s program is very unique. He caters to all levels, whether you’re getting ready for bathing suit season or wanting to cut your split times in a triathlon. His motivation and knowledge goes beyond your boot camp session. Dave rallies his support for whatever goal you are trying to accomplish. I can not wait to start back up! I have NO EXCUSES not too!

10 Reason's Why You Should Not Train with The Real World Strength Coach
10. You have to try out – Just having a credit card and pulse does not get you a membership. You have to demonstrate your willingness and ability to train intensely enough to get results.
9. It's really hard – You sweat and breathe hard in every workout. You will train at the edge of the redline which makes it too hard to read a magazine while “working out.”
8. You will be coached – You can’t just sit and peddle on the bike, or chit chat with your friends, you will learn and develop new skills .
7. No excuses and no whinning–There is No Excuses that's it! If that's you this is not the place where you want to be training .
6. It will be painful – As the saying goes, the workouts will be painful and we expect you to push through it, you will be sore the next day, and we expect you to still do your active recovery.
5. There are no mirrors, treadmills, machines, TV’s Etc. – We don’t have a place to adjust your make up or to flex while you stand around figuring out your next bicep exercise. You can’t check how your new outfit looks when you work out. There is no TV to distract you from your workout.
4.Your other boot campers will keep you accountable – So it is just not the coach but the person standing next to you who will be pushing you throught the wrokouts or calling you to find out how come you missed a class or didnt post your food logs.
3. You are expected to improve – You will add weight, go faster and maintain excellent form as a regular part of the training. Yoy will push past your limits.
2. We measure performance – We keep score and track your results. We won’t let you just go through the motions – We keep score on the results of your training. If your scores, weights or times are not improving, we will find out why. Who wants their performance to improve all the time?
1. It's cost too much – Hey your body is your temple if it goes you go right alone with it, and if you go is there anyone counting on you? So if you put a price tag on improving your overall health and standered of living and this is above it then i hope you find a way where you can improve your body and health that is cheaper.

Dave took the challenge on. We started training with Dave in late January of 2009. Each week he has something new, works outs were different and he gave us what we call home work to do until the next training session. Dave's work out are very challenging, he is very motivating and very positive . He keeps the teams interest in the work outs.
Dave takes the time to research things to help the team We work out individually and then as a team. Our winter training in door training is over for now, but this week we will be doing out door training to give the teams a little more of a challenge.
We are on the water now and I can see the benefits of the training in the paddlers. We will be using our Real World Strength Trainer through out the summer to help keep us strong and helping to give the team that little bit of advantage through his training. When we are off the water and it is time to go indoors it is our Trainer David Lee that we will be calling. I can not say enough about Dave as a person or his training and I think the team will agree Dave is the best!! "
